Preschool Assistant Teacher for Montessori School

Role Description The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging Montessori environment for children in the Preprimary program. This role includes helping guide children throughout the school day, supporting classroom routines and transitions, supervising lunch and recess, and assisting with the social, emotional, and physical care of children. The Assistant Teacher may also help support the school’s extended day (X-Day) program, napping and non‑napping programs, and other afternoon childcare responsibilities as needed. This position is a full time salary position with benefits the hours are from 10:30 am - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday. Qualifications Experience working with young children preferred. Montessori experience or Montessori credential preferred but not required. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Warm, patient, collaborative, and dependable.
