Part Time Barista Positions Available

Join our team at our Oakland location! Position and location: Part time barista positions available at our Oakland location, 25-30 hours/week. Monday through Friday, with an occasional Saturday.

Primary purpose: Provides customers with exceptional service, handcrafted coffee and tea beverages and food, in a clean, comfortable and welcoming store environment.

Major duties and responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly, personalized and professional manner
• Create and maintain a comfortable, clean and welcoming environment for coworkers and customers
• Prepare handcrafted, quality beverages and products by adhering to Tazza D'oro and SCAA standards
• Develop a deep knowledge and can speak on various store products, answer customers inquiries and make suggestions
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

Minimum requirements:

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Available to work flexible hours which may include; early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
• An ability to multitask and problem solve
• An ability to work as part of a team with a positive, energetic and resourceful attitude
• Punctuality, reliability

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to stand for hours at a time
• Occasional lifting of 5-25 lb. boxes

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred skills/qualifications:

• Previous customer service experience, in fast paced setting preferred.
• Barista experience with demonstrated proficiency in coffee and espresso preferred.
