Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Nights

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs using the nursing process
• Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care based on real and perceived patient needs
• Evaluate patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if care plan goals are being met
• Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary health care team members in planning and implementing total patient care
• Provide care for a telemetry patient population at a ratio of 4:1 (occasionally 5:1)

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (verified Active via LARA and/or Nursys)
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry/Cardiac experience required
• Current PCU Skills Checklist (within the last year) required
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last two years required
• Local candidates are welcome; however, candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible for only one 13-week contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent travel nursing work history highly preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Background in stepdown or intermediate care settings
