Dependable Dishwasher / Kitchen Steward Needed

The Club at Las Campanas is seeking a dependable Dishwasher / Kitchen Steward to join our Food & Beverage Culinary team in Santa Fe. If you have experience as a dishwasher, kitchen steward, restaurant worker, kitchen helper, food service worker, or prep cook, we encourage you to apply.

Our Dishwashers play an important role in keeping our restaurant kitchen clean, organized, safe, and ready for service. You'll work alongside our cooks and culinary team to maintain clean dishes, glassware, silverware, kitchen equipment, and work areas throughout the day.

What You'll Do

• Operate and properly care for a commercial dishwashing machine
• Wash and maintain dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Keep the kitchen and dishwashing area clean, organized, and ready for service
• Restock the cook's line and dining service areas with clean dishes, glasses, and silverware
• Polish silverware and organize clean kitchen supplies
• Empty and clean bus tubs and return them to designated areas
• Remove trash and maintain clean garbage containers
• Keep the loading dock and dumpster areas clean
• Properly store cleaning supplies and equipment
• Transfer kitchen supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
• Assist the prep cook and culinary team with assigned tasks
• Assist with putting away food and kitchen stock
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures
• Complete assigned opening and closing duties
• Clean equipment immediately after use
• Help clean spills and maintain a safe kitchen environment
• Support the Food & Beverage team as needed

The position's primary purpose is maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and other food-service outlets.

What We're Looking For

• Previous dishwasher, restaurant, kitchen, food service, or hospitality experience preferred
• Knowledge of commercial dishwashing equipment preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen
• Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures
• Ability to learn and safely work with kitchen equipment and machinery
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organizational and multitasking skills
• Dependable and team-oriented
• Professional appearance and attitude
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Food handler certification and other applicable permits or certifications as required

The Club's job description specifically requires at least one year of food and beverage or hospitality-related experience and identifies commercial dishwasher knowledge as preferred.

Schedule

Candidates must be available to work a schedule that may include:

• Day and evening shifts
• Weekends
• Holidays

This position works in a fast-paced kitchen environment and requires schedule flexibility based on restaurant and Club operations.

Physical Requirements

This Dishwasher position requires prolonged periods of standing and working around kitchen equipment, hot pots and pans, cleaning products, and hot and cold temperatures. The position also requires bending, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing goods on a hand cart weighing up to 200 pounds.
