Role Description The Legal Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Boca Raton, FL. This role supports attorneys with day-to-day tasks, including preparing and organizing legal documents, maintaining case files, and managing calendars and deadlines. The Legal Assistant will draft correspondence, assist with court filings, schedule client meetings, and handle routine administrative duties such as answering phones and managing incoming and outgoing mail. The role also includes communicating with clients, courts, and other parties in a professional manner, ensuring accurate information is collected and documented. The Legal Assistant works closely with the attorney to keep cases on track and provide consistent, reliable support.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of law and legal procedures, with experience supporting Legal Assistants or similar legal support roles.
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and organizing pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
• Administrative Assistance skills, including scheduling, file management (paper and electronic), data entry, and office organization.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Comfort using legal practice management software, word processing tools, and standard office technology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Prior experience in a law firm or legal environment preferred; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is beneficial.
