Litigation Counsel

To support the Accident & Health division, the full-time salaried AVP & Counsel will manage high-volume contract drafting and negotiation, oversee litigation management, and provide strategic legal counsel while working onsite in Eatontown, NJ or remotely. Key responsibilities Manage the drafting, review, and negotiation of various agreements, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements Oversee complex claims litigation, including case summaries, settlement negotiations, and coordination with outside counsel Develop and deliver training programs on legal topics relevant to the legal department and other business units Required qualifications J.D. degree and admitted to a State Bar, with eligibility for NJ Limited-License In-House Counsel within one year 8+ years of legal experience, including a minimum of three years in Accident & Health insurance products and claims management Demonstrated experience with ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA, and applicable insurance laws and regulations Proven ability to supervise and mentor legal support staff and interns Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
