Tax Senior - Public Accounting

Job Details We are a well‑established mid‑sized public accounting and advisory firm with over 50 years of experience serving a diverse client base across high‑net‑worth individuals, privately held businesses, and various industries. Hybrid work schedule (typically 3 days in‑office) Strong exposure to high‑net‑worth individuals and closely held businesses Generalist tax experience (not siloed or niche work) Opportunity to grow into tax planning and advisory work Collaborative, supportive team environment Direct access to leadership and mentorship Stable, long‑tenured firm with strong reputation Competitive compensation and clear growth path Salary: $100,000 - $145,000 per year Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, including individuals (1040), partnerships (1065), S‑Corporations (1120‑S), C‑Corporations (1120), and trusts & estates (1041) Analyze financial data and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness Work with multi‑entity client structures and K‑1 reporting Communicate directly with clients to request information, resolve issues, and follow up on open items Assist in identifying tax planning opportunities Manage multiple engagements and meet filing deadlines Conduct tax research and stay current on tax law updates Review work of junior staff and provide guidance as needed Qualifications 3+ years of public accounting tax experience Strong experience with 1040s and pass‑through entities (1065, 1120‑S) Exposure to high‑net‑worth clients Experience with trusts & estates (1041) is a strong plus Generalist background preferred (not highly specialized) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills CPA license or actively pursuing Experience with CCH Axcess or similar tax software required Equal Opportunity Employer Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
