All benefits you expect — without the wait. $1075 or more Weekly Hourly Pay: $25.00 per hour Hours per week: 42 or more hours Paid Training Schedule: Tuesday - Friday Start Time: 4:30 PM Equipment and Training Local Home Daily Yard Driver Tractor Type: Yard Truck Trailer Type: 53' Dry Van Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful Ryder Drivers operate well‑maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days 80 hours PTO in first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid for it) Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided Drivers are the Captain — you make safety decisions, and your job is protected 401(k) rollover available now + company match at 1 year 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to specific eligibility criteria, including work tenure) Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more Responsibilities Primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard, but cannot drive on public roads The position requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service Additional Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records. Other tasks as assigned Qualifications Minimum 21 years of age Must have verifiable driving experience in similar equipment: 9 months in the past 3 years OR 2 years in the past 5 years OR 5 years in the past 10 years Pass a Ryder Drug Test Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Yard Driver Examination Must have a valid driver's license Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Additional Screening Note Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
