Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including oncology-specific needs.
- Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy as clinically appropriate and manage associated therapies (blood products, IV antibiotics, anticoagulant infusions) with strict safety practices.
- Perform IV starts, central line care and maintenance, and monitor patients on telemetry; respond to alarms and changes in patient status.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort through evidence-based nursing care, medication administration, and tube feeding as needed.
- Collaborate with the care team, assist with procedures, and participate in discharge planning and patient education.
- Document thoroughly in EPIC; ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and timely; comply with unit policies and hospital standards.

Requirements
- Active RN license on file at time of submission; licensure as required for practice in the stated location.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required.
- Experience: Prior travel nursing experience required; oncology/chemotherapy exposure preferred; large teaching facility experience preferred.
- Education: Not specified in notes.
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable.
- Must be able to work in a hospital Med Surg Tele setting, including 12-hour night shifts; no float to other departments.
- Must start within the next week and be prepared for a Monday-to-Sunday rotation; travel requires reliable transportation. Public transportation is not available in the area; private or rental vehicle with all-season/snow tires is strongly recommended.
