Maintenance Specialist

Our client is a national leader in environmental services and the development of waste-to-renewable energy projects. They have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Specialist at their plant in River Falls, WI. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Specialist will have the overall responsibility for executing day-to-day maintenance at the RNG facility, as well as developing preventative maintenance plans to ensure maximum uptime of equipment. Responsibilities Develops maintenance plans for equipment based on OEM guidelines and participates in oversight of outside maintenance contractors to ensure that they are working in a safe manner. Develops an inventory of spare parts and consumables required for equipment maintenance including but not limited to lubricating oils, fasteners, drive belts and other non-critical spares to maintain equipment readiness. Orders specialty parts for planned maintenance from equipment vendors as needed to align with hourly based overhauls. Monitor plant equipment and gas production of anaerobic digesters on a daily basis to ensure safety and compliance with operational parameters. Ensure that any issues are promptly reported and determine best solutions for resolving the issues. Troubleshoot equipment issues, execute maintenance activities as required, and work with relevant stakeholders both internal and external to ensure maximum uptime and reliability of equipment. Participate in plant housekeeping programs and material handling safety activities such as developing programs, policies and standard operating procedures. Track repairs and scheduled maintenance though work management software. Draft Standard Operating Procedures and Energy Isolation Procedures in coordination with state laws relevant to the repetitive maintenance tasks to streamline efficiency. Ensures an accident-free workplace Consistent and on-time attendance Other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle is required. Will be required to regularly lift, move and/or push objects weighing up to 50lbs Maintenance and operating experience in an industrial or gas processing environment. Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings. Experience with SCADA systems and CMMS software. Preferred Qualifications Ability to maintain plant equipment such as compressors, pumps, mixers, and process equipment. Electrical safety training and OSHA 30 certification A relevant background in safety procedures/practices. Able to quickly respond to rapidly changing conditions. Ability to read, write and understand English is required. Ability to analyze and interpret data and to make sound recommendations on plant conditions.
