Job Title: Phlebotomist – Cardiology Practice
Location: Ocala, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $18-22 per hour (based on experience)
Benefits: Full benefits package available after 90 days

We are a busy, patient-focused cardiology center in Ocala, FL dedicated to providing high-quality cardiovascular care. We are seeking a dependable and experienced Phlebotomist to join our clinical team and support patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary
The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood specimens and supporting clinical operations while ensuring a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and comfortable working with a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections accurately and efficiently
• Properly label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
• Ensure all specimens are handled and stored according to protocol
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area
• Verify patient information and ensure accurate documentation in EMR
• Assist with patient intake, including obtaining basic information and vitals as needed
• Provide excellent patient care and help ease patient concerns regarding procedures
• Follow all infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient throughput

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of phlebotomy experience required (more preferred for higher pay range)
• Experience in a medical office or specialty practice preferred (cardiology a plus)
• Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required
• Strong venipuncture skills with ability to draw from difficult patients
• Familiarity with EMR systems; experience with Intergy is preferred but not required
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and patient service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
