Registered Nurse (RN) – Mother Baby (Post Partum)We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Mother Baby Post Partum unit. This position involves a night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, working a guaranteed 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mother-baby care and be comfortable floating between Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Post Partum as needed.Unit InformationUnit Type: Mother Baby (Post Partum)Beds: 27 Postpartum beds with a 5-bed nursery, 7 L&D beds, 4 triage beds, 2 overflow bedsBirths: Approximately 3 births per day, totaling around 1545 annuallyStaffing Ratios: Follows AWOHNN guidelinesFetal Monitoring System: FetalLink (integrates with Cerner EMR)Roles & ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns.Assist in Labor & Delivery when floating between units.Participate in high-risk delivery management.Deliver care under the supervision of charge nurses and resource nurses.Work collaboratively with OB techs and other healthcare professionals.QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 2 years nursing experience required; prior travel experience preferred.Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring (AWOHNN – intermediate or advanced), Stable certification preferred.Skills: Ability to circulate in c-sections; floating between L&D and PP units required. L&D nurses must have postpartum experience.Schedule & RequirementsShift Length: 12 hours (7 PM to 7 AM)Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule.Holiday Requirement: Availability to work one major and one minor holiday.Additional InformationOrientation specific to the unit will be provided over 3 shifts.
