Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - F/T Evenings

About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides direct care to a variety of complex patients, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective communication and coordination with the healthcare team. Highlights Location: Hackensack, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Department/Unit: Emergency Department Schedule: Full-time, Evening shift What You’ll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health. Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care. Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning technologies. Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes. Initiate interventions related to changes in patient condition. Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses. Requirements Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire. Experience: Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program. Licenses & Certifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey; BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire; National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
