- Salary: $90,000 - $105,000
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled SQL Server DBA to join a growing engineering team in Boca Raton. This is a hands-on opportunity for a database professional who enjoys managing complex database environments, optimizing performance, and partnering with developers to ensure reliable and scalable applications.
The ideal candidate has strong SQL Server administration experience, a passion for database performance tuning, and experience supporting both cloud and on-premises environments.
What You'll Do
- Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server and MongoDB database environments
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability
- Perform SQL query optimization and work closely with development teams to improve application performance
- Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports, SSIS packages, and ETL processes
- Deploy and support databases across cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
- Support database upgrades, migrations, and system enhancements
- Create and maintain database documentation, schema designs, and system configurations
- Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver database solutions
- Participate in on-call support, after-hours upgrades, and critical implementations as needed
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience
- Strong experience with SQL Server performance tuning and query optimization
- Hands-on experience with SSRS, SSIS, and ETL development
- Experience administering databases in both on-premises and cloud environments
- Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting MongoDB
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of database security best practices
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and modern database deployment processes
- Experience supporting enterprise-level applications and high-availability environments
