Invasive Cardiology RN Position
This is a 13-week contract position, with shifts scheduled for 4x10 hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. There are no weekend, call, or holiday requirements, but candidates must be available to stay until the last patient is cared for.
The Invasive Cardiology RN will work in a unit that includes 4 dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Labs, 3 dedicated Electrophysiology labs, and 2 shared labs, completing over 6,000 procedures annually. The unit provides advanced cardiovascular treatments, including complex coronary procedures, VAD/ECMO implementation, and various ablation and cardiac device procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate monitoring and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Circulate and scrub during procedures while maintaining a sterile field
- Perform EKG lead placement and prep access sites
- Insert and program AICDs and perform pacemaker insertions
- Provide care for patients undergoing invasive cardiology procedures
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a relevant cardiology setting
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required
- Experience with Epic charting system is preferred
- Must be willing to care for COVID patients
