Job Summary:

We are seeking a Windows 11 Refresh Technician to support a large-scale Windows 11 migration initiative. This individual will be responsible for upgrading, deploying, and replacing end-user devices while ensuring a seamless transition from Windows 10 to Windows 11. The ideal candidate will have hands-on desktop support experience, strong customer service skills, and familiarity with enterprise deployment tools and hardware refresh projects.

• Perform Windows 11 device refreshes, upgrades, and replacements for end users across multiple locations.
• Migrate user profiles, data, and application settings to newly deployed devices.
• Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, and peripheral equipment according to company standards.
• Utilize deployment tools such as Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, SCCM/MECM, or similar endpoint management solutions.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 11 operating systems and enterprise applications.
• Coordinate upgrade schedules with end users and business stakeholders.
• Document asset information, deployment statuses, and project updates.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues during deployment activities.
• Provide desk-side support and white-glove customer service throughout the refresh process.
• Ensure all decommissioned equipment is properly collected, documented, and prepared for asset disposition.
• Follow established project timelines and deployment procedures to meet refresh targets.

• 1-3+ years of desktop support, deployment, or IT support experience.
• Experience with Windows operating systems, preferably Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Knowledge of PC hardware, imaging, software installation, and device configuration.
• Experience migrating user data and profiles between devices.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to hardware, software, printers, and peripherals.
• Ability to walk users through technical processes in a professional manner.
• Experience documenting work within ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds.

• Experience supporting enterprise Windows 11 migration projects.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
• Knowledge of SCCM/MECM imaging and software deployment.
• Experience with asset management and inventory tracking.
• CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or other relevant IT certifications.

This is a Contract position based out of Providence, RI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
