The Operator sets up and runs production machines to produce, assemble, and inspect filter products in a manufacturing environment. This role involves cross-training on multiple machines and inspection stations, performing visual quality inspections, documenting results for the quality department, and accurately recording material and product usage in an Oracle ERP system. The Operator handles rolls weighing up to 30 lbs, adjusts machine settings such as tension, back tension, and pressure according to engineering specifications, and works both alongside another operator during training and independently once fully trained.
Responsibilities
- Set up production machines by adjusting tension, back tension, and pressures according to engineering specifications.
- Operate production equipment to produce and assemble filter products to defined quality standards.
- Load and unload machines with rolls weighing up to 30 lbs in a safe and efficient manner.
- Cross-train on multiple machines and inspection stations to support flexible production needs.
- Perform detailed visual quality inspections of products and components.
- Document inspection results clearly and provide them to the quality department for review and recordkeeping.
- Navigate and use the Oracle ERP system to accurately record materials and products used during production.
- Follow established manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support product quality and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with fellow operators during training and transition to independent operation once fully trained.
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors about production status, issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Adhere to production schedules and meet output and quality targets consistently.
Essential Skills
- At least 6 months of manufacturing experience in machine operation or a cleanroom environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of machine operation experience.
- Strong communication skills for clear verbal and written interactions.
- Reliable transportation to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
- Strong English language skills, including speaking, reading, and writing.
- Solid reading comprehension to understand work instructions, specifications, and documentation.
- Ability to perform visual inspections with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capability to safely handle and move rolls weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to learn and navigate an Oracle ERP system for material and product tracking.
- Demonstrated tenure and stability in prior manufacturing roles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1 or more years of cleanroom experience is preferred.
- 1 or more years of visual inspection experience is preferred.
- Experience in general production and packaging environments.
- Cleanroom experience with strong attention to detail.
- Lamination experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Willingness to cross-train on multiple machines and inspection stations.

Work Environment
The role is based in a production setting with machines arranged in a line configuration. Work is performed in a non-cleanroom area with minimal co-workers nearby, allowing for a focused and independent work style. New hires initially work alongside another operator for training and then transition to operating solo. The typical shift runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Fridays, offering a consistent daytime schedule. Standard manufacturing attire appropriate for a production floor is expected, and employees work with established equipment and processes designed for safe and efficient operation.

This is a Contract position based out of Bloomington, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
