Psych RN - Adolescent Unit

Location: Westbrook, Maine

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Job Description: The Psych RN will provide essential care in the Adolescent Unit, specifically addressing the needs of patients with acute mental health conditions. The role requires expertise in de-escalation techniques and working with thought disordered, psychotic, and personality disorder patients, ensuring a calm and professional demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities:

Deliver nursing care to adolescent patients in mental health crisis.
Utilize de-escalation skills to manage challenging situations.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
Monitor patient behaviors and mental health status.
Provide patient education and support for families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

2 years of experience in acute adult mental health settings.
Valid RN licensure.
Experience working with psychiatric patients, particularly adolescents.
