None Summary:

An Extrusion Technician is responsible for performing and maintaining the daily activities associated with a production line. This includes housekeeping, safety, quality, maintaining production efficiencies, repair and maintenance and minimizing downtime.Primary Job Responsibilities:The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environmentCompletion of shift production and reporting paperworkImmediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Production SupervisorMeet quality specifications for all products producedPreform Preventive Maintenance on all equipment as neededTroubleshoot process and mechanical problems and perform repairs and adjustments to meet production needs as requiredPractice proper forklift operation and preventive maintenanceMaintain ability to operate various production lines and processes effectivelyMaintain facility housekeepingAdhere to PLP product sampling scheduleMaintain and build job skills through company training programsMeet or exceed standard production efficiencies on all production linesAdhere to ISO 9001 Quality, certification requirementsPerform tooling changeovers in an efficient mannerRequires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisorOther duties as assignedKnowledge & Skill Requirements:This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:High school diploma or equivalent, desiredMechanical troubleshooting and repair abilitiesAbility to operate heavy machineryAnalytical thinking and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within manufacturing environmentSelf-motivated and dependablePunctual with good attendancePrevious manufacturing machine operation or extrusion experiencePhysical Requirements:Ability to repeatedly lift 75 pounds to a height of 6 feetMust be able to perform repetitive motion, such as walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, griping, and standingAbility to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 12 continuous hoursAbility to work in temperature extremesClarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast repetitious operation\nCompany DescriptionAt Pipeline Plastics, we are proud to be an industry leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance, durable High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe solutions for infrastructure and industrial applications.
