This position is ideal for a highly skilled perioperative nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is comfortable working with a wide variety of complex surgical cases.The ideal candidate will possess strong circulating and scrub experience and demonstrate expertise in trauma, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, robotic, and general surgical procedures.RequirementsActive RN License (Compact Accepted)BLS Certification (AHA)Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience within the last 3 years (3 years preferred)Minimum 1 year of Level I Trauma experience within the last 3 yearsMinimum 1 year of recent travel nursing experience within the last 3 yearsStrong circulating and scrub experience requiredOne professional reference within the last 36 monthsNo employment gaps exceeding 90 days in work historyPrevious permanent employees of the facility are not eligibleRequired Clinical ExperienceCandidates must be proficient in one or more these areas:General SurgeryOrthopedic Surgery (Total Joints Required)Neuro Surgery (Craniotomy and Spine Required)Vascular SurgeryTrauma SurgeryRobotic Surgery (Da Vinci Experience Required)Transplant Surgery (Preferred but not required)Scheduling InformationRotating shifts including days, evenings, and nightsCall required on weekdays and weekendsWeekend call may include Friday, Saturday, and/or SundayUp to 3 weekend call shifts during a 6-week schedule periodCall response time: 30 minutesIn-house call rooms availableNo block scheduling availableAbout Pittsburgh, PennsylvaniaPittsburgh offers an excellent mix of career growth, entertainment, and outdoor recreation.
