Parks Maintenance Technician 4Employees must be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on projects or emergency response, at any location within Pierce County using the County maintenance van.The Parks Maintenance Technician 4 (PMT4) position is a unique opportunity to work on the widest variety of Park assets across the Pierce County Parks system. As a PMT4, you will have significant autonomy over your daily tasks and latitude to tackle unique maintenance problems, as well as larger, more complex trade-related projects, utilizing your background and expertise. PMT4s are the highest level of non-supervisory maintenance positions within Pierce County Parks. You will work both independently and as a team on projects that have been vetted and identified through the Planned Maintenance Program (PMP) Work Plan. Likewise, as a core team member, you will also be instrumental in vetting that project plan annually, providing recommendations, guidance, insight, and perspective alongside other members of your team.Pierce County Parks and Recreation manages more than 5,200 acres of parks, trails, and open space, ranging from community hubs to natural areas. Feel comfortable and able to confidently evaluate and make repair recommendations on a wide variety of buildings, systems, and facility assets.The Planned Maintenance Program continues to adapt, improve, and influence new facilities as well as maintain existing ones. The PMT4 series uniquely works on some of the most complex maintenance projects across all sites managed by Parks.
