School Bus Monitor Community Unit School District 308 (SD308) is seeking qualified candidates to become School Bus Monitors for the district. Compensation: $16.00 per hour Monthly attendance bonus Longevity bonus Hourly rate includes the mandatory 4.5% retirement contribution to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF). Qualifications: 21 years of age (or older) with a high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to handle emergency situations, evaluations, and administer first aid in a timely manner. Pass pre‑employment physical, drug, alcohol, background, and TB testing. Knowledge of or ability to learn safety procedures. Performance Responsibilities: Assist bus driver with the safety, movement, management, and care of students. Learn and adapt to each student’s medical, physical, communicative, and emotional needs. Serve as a role model demonstrating a positive attitude and self‑control. Protect the confidentiality of student records and information.
