Full-Time | Primarily Monday–Friday | Mishawaka, Indiana

Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Technician

Are you a highly skilled maintenance professional who can diagnose equipment issues, troubleshoot complex mechanical systems, and keep operations running at peak performance?

We are looking for a hands-on maintenance professional to maintain industrial equipment, production systems, and facilities across multiple locations. If you enjoy solving technical problems, preventing downtime, and making a meaningful impact every day, we would like to meet you.

Pay and Schedule

• Competitive pay based on experience
• Full-time position averaging 40+ hours per week
• Primarily Monday through Friday during daytime hours
• Some Saturdays as needed
• Occasional after-hours emergency response

What You’ll Do

You will serve as a go-to problem solver who helps keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

• Troubleshoot and repair washers, dryers, presses, boilers, conveyors, and other production equipment
• Diagnose mechanical and operational problems and complete appropriate repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and costly repairs
• Complete building repairs involving plumbing, lighting, doors, locks, drywall, painting, and general upkeep
• Support retail, production, and office locations
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when specialized assistance is needed
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and facility appearance
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and repair documentation
• Follow OSHA requirements and established safety procedures

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Hands-on repair and troubleshooting experience
• Ability to diagnose problems and determine appropriate next steps
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments
• Good judgment about when to request additional technical assistance
• Reliable, self-motivated, and accountable
• Strong communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Willingness to travel regularly between company locations
• Pride in completing safe, accurate, and high-quality work

Required Experience

Candidates should have relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Industrial, manufacturing, equipment, facilities, or building maintenance
• Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, welding, or boiler systems
• Production machinery, mechanical systems, or equipment troubleshooting
• Preventive-maintenance programs and inspections
• Multi-site property or equipment maintenance

Experience with specialized equipment is helpful, but candidates are not expected to know every piece of equipment when they begin. Training and technical support will be available. The successful candidate must have a strong mechanical foundation, a willingness to learn, and the judgment to ask for assistance when needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 70+ pounds when required
• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing ladders, lifting, and movement
• Ability to work safely indoors, outdoors, and around industrial machinery
• Ability to travel between multiple work locations
