Developmental Pediatric Psychologist

Position Developmental Pediatric Psychologist , Department of Pediatrics Responsibilities Conduct assessment services including evaluation of cognitive functioning using standardized instruments (e.g., WISC-III, WAIS-R), interviews, and additional measures; evaluation of emotional functioning; assessment of parenting skills; validation of abuse indicators; risk assessment; perpetrator assessment; bonding evaluations; forensic evaluations; and growth and development considerations across age groups (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics). Travel to sites served by the CNJRCDC as needed. Offer direct intervention through short-term therapy (center and outreach sites) addressing issues such as parenting skills, postpartum depression, and family reunification; provide individual or group treatment; conduct group work including parenting education and related groups; provide consultation to parents, children, nursing, medicine, and social work; plan and implement age-appropriate care. Attend and participate in meetings as needed, including professional meetings, psychosocial team meetings, and developmental case presentations. Education/Training: provide presentation and supervision to students/trainees; teach patients considering age-related development; participate in education and credentialing activities; demonstrate competency to provide care across age populations. Record Keeping: prepare reports, case notes, and chart notes; ensure procedures meet established standards and reflect age-appropriate care across the life span. Qualifications Doctorate in child clinical, developmental, school, or pediatric psychology. New Jersey license or license eligible; supervision by a licensed psychologist available. Two years of experience in assessment, developmental pediatrics, treatment of parents and children, and consultation. Bilingual ability (English/Spanish) strongly preferred. Salary and Benefits Salary Range: 72,592.00 – 119,766.00 USD We offer competitive base rates determined by factors including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. Some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary range reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated for part-time status.
