Armed School Security Officer
Full-Time | Starting Fall 2026

Lehighton, PA

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:15 AM – 2:30 PM

KRE Security, LLC is seeking professional Armed School Security Officers to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year , beginning Fall 2026 .

This is an opportunity to work in a structured school environment where your presence helps ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors every day. We are looking for dependable professionals with strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Please Note: Qualified candidates will participate in an interview with the client prior to being offered the position.

Position Highlights

• $23.00 per hour
• Full-time school year position

• Summer employment opportunities may be available
• Monday–Friday daytime schedule
• No nights or weekends
• Military & Retired Law Enforcement Differential (+$0.25/hour)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible armed security presence throughout the school campus
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of school property
• Monitor entrances and verify all visitors
• Enforce school safety policies and emergency procedures
• Respond professionally to emergencies and security incidents
• Complete detailed daily activity logs and incident reports
• Work closely with school administration and local law enforcement
• Help maintain a safe and secure learning environment for students and staff

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following:

• Act 235 Certification (Required)
• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following is preferred:

• Security
• Law Enforcement
• Military
• School Security
• Campus Security
• Corrections

Schedule

Monday – Friday

7:15 AM – 2:30 PM

Pay & Benefits

• $23.00 per hour
• Overtime paid after 40 hours worked
• Full-time benefits eligibility at 30+ hours per week
• Paid Time Off: 24 hours accrued after successful completion of probation
