Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Lost Time Claims Adjuster to join a growing claims team on a temporary basis. This fully remote opportunity is focused on handling California indemnity (lost time) claims from inception through closure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of California Workers' Compensation regulations and experience managing complex claim files independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of California Workers' Compensation lost time claims.
• Conduct investigations to determine compensability and liability.
• Establish and maintain appropriate reserves throughout the life of the claim.
• Coordinate with employers, injured workers, attorneys, medical providers, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee litigated claims and work closely with defense counsel.
• Ensure timely claim payments and regulatory compliance.
• Facilitate return-to-work and claim resolution strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and claim file management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience handling California Workers' Compensation lost time claims.
• Strong knowledge of California Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.
• Experience managing indemnity claims with varying levels of complexity.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Active California claims certifications/licenses preferred, where applicable.
