Class A CDL Driver Independence, LA

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver for our Transportation team in Independence, LA. In this role you will safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials to various locations, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles, including but not limited to tractor‑trailers, tankers, roll‑offs, and box trucks, in compliance with all regulations. Transport hazardous and non‑hazardous waste materials to disposal or recycling facilities. Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in safe operating condition. Maintain accurate digital logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status, following all applicable DOT regulations. Complete all required manifest paperwork and documentation accurately. Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services. Assist with loading and unloading of materials as needed. Properly secure load to ensure safe and compliant transportation. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain industry knowledge and skills. Basic Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have reliable transportation. Must consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre‑employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC). Will participate in random drug screening (inclusive of THC) upon employment. Willing to work flexible hours, including long‑distance travel and up to four overnight stays per week. Ability to work overtime regularly. Position handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste; considered safety‑sensitive. Must lift 60 pounds regularly. Eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship. Preferred Requirements Proficiency driving manual transmissions. Previous experience in environmental services or related field.
