Job Description & Requirements Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Iola, Kansas. Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/19/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a critical access healthcare facility. The role involves providing emergency care to diverse patient populations, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The RN will be responsible for managing a high-volume emergency department, prioritizing patient care, and ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols. Job Details Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift Schedule: The assignment begins on 10/19/2026 and ends on 01/18/2027, with a minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid license in the state of practice, minimum of 1 year of emergency room experience, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification, proficiency in general emergency department procedures for adult and pediatric patients, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care and management, IV vasopressors administration, use of CPAP/BiPAP ventilation devices, care of ventilated patients, isolation precautions, and triage procedures. Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level IV experience, Epic electronic health record system experience, community hospital experience, and familiarity with interdisciplinary support such as respiratory services, phlebotomy, and radiology. Float: May be required to float as needed to other departments or facilities within scope. Special Requirements: Epic experience is required for clinical documentation efficiency. The candidate must be capable of managing complex emergency procedures and working within a multidisciplinary team. Additional Information: The candidate must have at least 1 year of emergency room experience, with all certifications up to date. The assignment involves working in a designated Emergency Department that handles a high patient volume with a capacity of 7 beds, providing acute care for a diverse patient population. Submission Requirements: Candidates must be willing to work at least 75 miles away from their home address and hold an active license accepted by the organization.
