Mechanical Hardware Engineer

Pay Range: $45 - 51/hr depending on experience Contract: 1 year with possible extension and/or conversion Location: Sunnyvale, CA (100% onsite) Job Description Responsible for the mechanical design of rack mounted networking products from concept to RTM. Evaluate & integrate new technologies in cooling, interconnect & other relevant areas to develop future solution set for HPE networking products. Provide project scoping and resource planning to support new product development and relevant technologies for the project. Track deliverables in support of programs and resolve cross-functional issues. Responsible for leading technical decisions required on a project. Takes a leadership role in technical content of the system specification/unit function specification. Establishes well-defined technical direction and aligns the direction with that of HPE networking. Reviews plan and writes specifications for assigned area. Identifies issues and technical interdependencies and suggests possible changes. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or higher with 5+ years relevant experience in electro-mechanical design with a concentration in either networking or storage or server products. Experience designing products, executing design reviews, creating BOM, prototype validation, ECO release and putting products through regulatory compliance tests.
