That is what has kept us growing for half a century - and it is the foundation for everything our Sales Manager does.The OpportunityWe are looking for a Sales Manager who leads from the front. This is a player/coach role - you carry your own book of business while leading, developing, and holding accountable a team of 3-4 Sales Consultants. Roughly half your time is personal production. The other half is making your team better.If you want to step back from selling, this is not the right role. Your income ceiling is set by your effort and your team’s results. Top performers in player/coach roles at companies like Sunward earn $150,000-$300,000+. The commission structure rewards both personal production and team performance.This is a full-time, in-office role based in Denver, CO - Monday - Friday.What You Will DoCarry your own active pipeline of inbound and outbound leads, with a focus on large or complex projects - from first contact through signed contractLead, coach, and hold accountable a team of 3-4 Sales Consultants through structured one-on-ones, pipeline reviews, and deal coaching sessionsSet performance expectations for the team and take corrective action when KPIs trend in the wrong directionRun deal reviews and coaching sessions that sharpen your team’s skills and move opportunities forward with urgencyDevelop and execute sales strategies and action plans aligned with monthly and annual revenue targets - for your book and your team’s portfolioBuild and maintain strong customer relationships, modeling the consultative approach and professionalism you expect from your teamMonitor team and individual KPIs and generate regular performance reports and pipeline forecasts for senior leadershipChampion disciplined CRM use across the team - pipeline hygiene and activity tracking are non-negotiableWhat We Are Looking For3+ years of proven inside sales experience with at least 1 year in a team lead, senior, or management capacityA genuine track record of hitting or exceeding personal sales targets - not just managing a team that hits themStrong leadership instincts - you can hold people accountable and keep them motivated at the same timeConfident communicator on the phone, in writing, and in escalated customer situationsCRM proficiency and comfort with sales reporting and performance dashboardsEven better if you have experience in construction, building products, PEMB, or manufacturing sales; familiarity with consultative sales methodologies; or experience coaching from data rather than instinct alone.Compensation$65,000 base salaryIndividual commission on your personal production - uncappedTeam override commission on your team’s production - uncappedTotal comp target: $80,000 - $300,000+ depending on personal and team performanceSales competitions and top-performer recognition programsBenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceGroup Life Insurance and AD&D - 100% company-paidLong-Term Disability - 100% company-paid401(k) Retirement Plan128 hours of Paid Time Off + 8 paid holidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Career GrowthHigh-performing Sales Managers at Sunward have a clear path toward Director of Sales and senior leadership as the company grows.
