Responsibilities Manage and maintain accurate financial records for clients, including client write-ups and month / year end closing procedures, recording cash receipts and cash disbursements, preparing monthly bank reconciliations, and recording month / year end closing journal entries Become proficient in preparing federal and state corporate, individual, partnership, and fiduciary income tax returns Research tax related matters Identify and solve potential tax issues Prepare financial statements Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns Prepare monthly / quarterly sales tax returns Prepare annual Form 1099s Skills / Qualifications / Experience ~ Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting ~ CPA license or actively working towards passing the CPA exam ~0 to 2 years of relevant experience ~ Basic technology skills ~ Strong communication and interpersonal skills ~ Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines with accuracy ~ The willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed during seasonal busy periods ~ Ability to work independently and within a team environment. ~ Previous experience in CPA firm a plus Software Knowledge – Preferred but not mandatory Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) QuickBooks CCH Axcess Tax CCH Axcess Practice CCH Axcess Workflow (XCM) CCH Prosystem fx Engagement We encourage you to visit our website to learn more about our firm: mhcpas.com Company Description Michels & Hanley CPAs, LLP is a premier certified public accounting firm providing accounting & auditing, tax planning & preparation, forensic accounting and business consulting services to a variety of businesses.
