Job Summary

Familiar Roads Home Healthcare is looking for dedicated Direct Care Workers (DCWs) to serve clients in Pottsville and the greater Schuylkill County area. This role is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, dependable, and committed to supporting others in their homes with daily care needs and companionship.

Qualifications (Required)

Applicants must meet the following Pennsylvania state and agency requirements:

• Completed Competency Exam or PA-compliant training program per Department of Health (DOH) standards
• Current CPR Certification
• Recent TB Test & Physical Exam (within the past 12 months) QuantiFERON-TB Gold or equivalent accepted
• Proof of Pennsylvania Residency for the past two (2) years
• Two (2) Valid Professional References
• Clear Criminal Background Check
• Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
• Neat appearance and practices good personal hygiene

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene: bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
• Meal preparation and feeding assistance
• Perform light housekeeping (sweeping, dishes, laundry, etc.)
• Provide mobility and transfer support
• Offer medication reminders (non-clinical)
• Observe and report changes in client health or behavior
