FA26-046: Research Faculty Fellow

Description The Center for Predictive Analytics (C-PAN) seeks to hire a Research Faculty Fellow who will provide specialized skills and knowledge that can be applied to research and development of ongoing externally funded projects with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. It is anticipated that the Research Faculty Fellow, with the mentorship of C-PAN staff, will develop an independent research agenda in the area of programmatic evaluation as it relates to statewide workforce development initiatives. In service to this goal, this individual will provide comprehensive case management services to PROWD participants returning to communities in Illinois after incarceration in federal correctional institutions (FCIs). This role supports participants in achieving stability, self-sufficiency, and successful reintegration by coordinating services, developing individualized employment plans, and addressing barriers such as employment, housing, education, health, and transportation, while ensuring compliance with requirements of the grant. This individual will also assist participants in the transition through levels of incarceration and community supervision to ensure participants receive quality services. Responsible for ongoing tracking and documenting services provided to PROWD participants to ensure participants receive quality services as well as building partnerships with justice, workforce, and community organizations to ensure participants receive quality services. The Research Faculty Fellow will develop research objectives and programmatic evaluation strategies regarding best practices for reentry through collaborative efforts with AIR, the Salvation Army, and the Illinois Reentry Council. It is anticipated that the hired individuals research will inform state-wide reentry policy for WIOA. These positions are remote eligible. Source of Funds Federal Qualifications Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Human Services, or related field (or equivalent experience) are required. Previous experience working with justice-involved individuals or other populations with barriers to employment. At least 2 years of experience in case management, with 5 or more years preferred. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Basic proficiency in the Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) Excellent written and verbal skills are required for this position.
