Senior Distribution Project Engineer In the role of Senior Distribution Project Engineer, we'll count on you to: Coordinate the work of design engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings Assume technical lead within a project execution team Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines Coordinate workload throughout the project to complete project deliverables on schedule Work with Project Manager and Project Controller on project reviews with management as needed Direct the activities of other engineering professionals and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering preferred. 10+ years of distribution design experience. Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired. Experience with industry software including CYMCAP, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, Polywater Pull Planner, PLS-CADD, Spida Calc, Pole Foreman, etc. Experience performing structural analysis, plan and profile preparation, line optimization, preparing specifications and drawings, and other engineering documents. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering A minimum of 10 years of experience Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license. Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software (examples include PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit) An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture At HDR, we are committed to the principles of employment equity.
