Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This role involves assessing, administering treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient conditions and prioritize care based on acuity and protocols.
• Administer treatments, medications, and interventions following established guidelines.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Collaborate with physicians, ER staff, and support personnel to coordinate care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs, equipment (ventilators, EKG), and respond promptly to changes.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures.

Qualifications:

• Required: Current RN licensure with active state certification.
• Required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, or PALS certification.
• Preferred: Experience with IV insertion, EKG, Foley placement, lumbar puncture, and central lines.
• Preferred: Ability to perform moderate sedation and cardioversion.
• Must demonstrate excellent teamwork, adaptability, and a positive attitude in high-pressure environments.
