Therapist Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing respiratory therapy services to patients in a critical care and general care setting, supporting both adult and pediatric patients. The role involves working night shifts with scheduled float responsibilities to ensure optimal patient care coverage.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Evaluate patient conditions and develop appropriate respiratory treatment plans.
  
  
• 
  Administer respiratory therapies, including ventilator management, airway management, and medication delivery.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as necessary to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records using Cerner system.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to all safety protocols, including completing fit tests and complying with vaccination requirements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license with WV or Compact license; pending licenses accepted.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in acute care.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.
  
  
• 
  At least 1 year of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a critical or general care setting.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrates strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
