Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team at [Hospital/Healthcare Facility Name] in Ohio. As an ER RN, you will be the first line of care for patients in urgent and critical conditions. You will be responsible for providing fast-paced, high-quality nursing care in a challenging, rewarding environment. Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, triaging patients based on urgency and severity of their conditions.
Assess and monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, responding quickly to changes in patient status.
Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as ordered, monitoring for side effects and adverse reactions.
Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care.
Assist with emergency procedures, including intubations, wound care, and resuscitation efforts.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
Maintain patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Follow established protocols for infection control, patient safety, and emergency interventions.
Provide emotional support to patients and families in stressful, high-stakes situations.
Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on best practices in emergency nursing.

Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an emergency room or critical care setting preferred.
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
