Sterile Processing Technician (Travel) | San Diego, CA | Days
Join a leading acute care hospital in beautiful San Diego! We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical services by ensuring the proper cleaning, sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment.

Job Details
Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or two weekends per 4-week schedule period
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 3 years of Sterile Processing, Central Supply, Surgery Department, or Acute Care Hospital experience
Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile processing procedures
Experience with instrument disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and sterilization of equipment
CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred:
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
Responsibilities
Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
Operate sterilizers, washers, sonic cleaners, and other SPD equipment
Perform biological and vacuum testing
Maintain accurate sterilization documentation and load tracking
Prepare case carts and restock supplies for surgical procedures
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and sterilization standards
Collaborate with nursing and surgical teams to support patient care
