Reporter The Waco Tribune-Herald has an immediate opening for an energetic full-time reporter to cover general news, breaking news and public safety in Waco, Texas. Position Responsibilities The successful candidate will write news stories based on assigned beats, interview sources, compile short videos to use with stories, and be able to write on deadline each day. This is a full-time reporting position in our newsroom. Our reporters cover multiple beats, prioritized by the managing editor week to week. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Our ideal candidate is curious, with a strong work ethic and a passion to inform. Detail-oriented, with good spelling, typing and grammar skills, a must. Minimal travel outside the immediate coverage area. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field required. Previous experience in a newsroom/newspaper environment preferred. Minimum video editing skills helpful. Why Join Us?
