As a Security Officer - Anchor Schedule in Glendale, AZ , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Sun 02:30 AM - 02:30 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations as directed by post orders. Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with following site access procedures, and report unusual activity that could help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations. Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, observing conditions at the location, and completing routine reports related to security‑related activities. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
