About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing operations for a Youth Inpatient Psychiatric Health Facility . This full-time leadership role is ideal for a dedicated RN with strong behavioral health and nursing management experience who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Job Details

• Position: Full-Time, Exempt
• Schedule: 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day
• Core Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (may vary based on operational needs)
• Setting: Youth Inpatient Behavioral Health Facility

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure high-quality patient care.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise nursing staff in a behavioral health setting.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Nursing administration experience based on education:
  • Associate Degree: 4+ years
  • Bachelor's Degree: 2+ years
  • Master's Degree: 1+ year
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing supervisory experience within the past 6 years.
• Minimum 1 year managing and supervising RNs providing patient care in a behavioral health setting within the past 6 years.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• CPR and Pro-ACT certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
