Warehouse Supervisor

Summary Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor coordinates and supervises all warehouse functions, including shipping/receiving, material flow to production lines, storing, and distribution of goods. The supervisor manages employees, overseeing the processing, packaging, and storage of supplies, material, and equipment, ensuring operations comply with established procedures and policies, and keeping management informed of significant problems and activities. Essential Duties & Job Responsibilities Ensure the schedule is synchronized with customer order deliveries, with products on time, organized for production, and as efficient as possible while ensuring safe operating procedures. Coordinate day-to-day head count and staffing requirements, considering operational needs and labor costs. Conduct daily team meetings to discuss schedules, problems, solutions, and improvements. Oversee all Cycle Count processes and provide root causes and corrective actions. Work with production supervisors to coordinate warehouse activities with production activities. Participate in department staffing, including interviewing, onboarding, and new‑hire training and development. Review and approve employees’ timecards, time‑off requests, and attendance reports daily and weekly. Evaluate employee performance, communicate with employees, and provide timely feedback for improvement. Hold employees accountable by ensuring compliance with company policies, safety, and productivity; apply coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions when needed. Identify, develop, and support continuous improvement opportunities. Perform daily walks and visual inspections of the warehouse floor to observe unsafe acts or conditions and take immediate corrective action. Inspect condition of tools and equipment, initiate work orders for maintenance, and coordinate repairs with outside vendors or forklift mechanics. Ensure safety compliance with organizational policy, state and federal regulations, and maintain a clean work environment. Enforce HACCP, SOP, and GMP procedures and commit to food safety as well as personal protective equipment (PPE) for safety purposes. Minimum Qualification Requirements Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or Supply Chain preferred. Minimum 2 years in a supervisory capacity required, or 4 years as a lead in a warehouse/manufacturing environment. Qualified to operate PIT equipment (forklifts and pallet jacks) and able to pass forklift test. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Experience working with ERP systems. Computer savvy, including data entry and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and internet-based applications. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Working knowledge of warehouse equipment and safety. Demonstrated full knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices policies and procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
