Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit position requiring 2 years of experience and a valid MI RN license.

Details

• 22-bed Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and post-surgical stepdown cases
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (0700-1930)
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals depending on volume/census
• No call requirements
• Uses Cerner PowerChart for charting

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; CPI preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Provide stepdown/intermediate level nursing care including cardiac monitoring, respiratory management, and neurological/post-surgical care
• Caribbean Blue scrub color required
• Maximum RTO of 10 days; if RTO falls during holidays, must be willing to work at least 1 of the 3 holidays
• Previous travelers must have been off assignment for at least 3 years before returning
• Does not accept local candidates
