Position Overview

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Tech for a travel assignment. This position requires experience in Davinci Xi Robotic Spinal Fusion within orthopedic or neurosurgery services. The role is for a 13-week assignment with a shift from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in various surgical procedures, specifically in total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and a variety of Xi robotic cases.
Maintain a patient-centered approach, advocating for patients' needs throughout their surgical experience.
Participate in on-call duties, typically averaging 5-6 shifts per four-week period, including weekend call.

Unit Information

Location: Anchorage, AK

Operating Room Unit Features:

11 Operating Rooms
Staffing details vary by shift, with approximately 8 RNs, 8 Scrub Techs, and 5 Surgical Support Techs during the day shift.
Night shift consists of one charge RN and one scrub tech on-site, with additional support available through a call team.
Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1.

Required Skills and Experience

Must possess NBSTSA certification and BLS certification.
Experience with total joint arthroplasties and neuro surgical procedures is required.
Familiarity with Xi robotic surgical systems is essential.

Additional Information

Scrubs will be provided by the facility.
Occasional floating may be required depending on staffing needs.
Weekend and on-call shifts are essential components of the schedule.
