Asst Professor – Counseling Leadership Advocacy & Design Job Title Assistant Professor Job Purpose The faculty member will provide methodological support for graduate students in the college. In addition, the successful candidate will maintain a scholarly research agenda and provide service to the program, school, college, university, and the profession. Responsibilities Teach master’s and doctoral level courses in Educational Research, including qualitative and quantitative research methods. Support graduate students throughout the college by serving on student committees. Maintain an active publication agenda, including peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and presentations at conference venues related to educational research. Collaborate with program faculty, college committees, university committees, and work with the profession. Minimum Qualifications Earned doctorate in Educational Research or a related area, completion by date of hire. Methodological expertise, specifically qualitative research in educational research. Experience and/or interest in teaching online. Demonstrated potential for scholarly writing and research. Interest in working with graduate students and faculty in a variety of disciplines. Strong written and oral communication skills. Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle record compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP. Desired Qualifications Higher-education teaching experience. Experience in consulting on research methods. Demonstrated ability to develop collaborations across disciplines. Participation in professional associations.
