Job Title: Speech Pathologist Profession: Speech Pathologist Specialty: Speech Pathologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: Two years' speech language pathology experience preferred License: Speech Pathologist licensure required Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology required Must-Have: Master's Degree or foreign equivalent required Description: Provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification, and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team. Reviews patient information before evaluations and during the course of treatment. Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments. Assists in data collection of patient outcomes. Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts. Supervises assistants and support staff. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
