Senior Software Engineer

Our client is a well‑funded Software Startup in New York City, NY building technology to help government entities leverage AI to increase efficiencies and outcomes. They are currently hiring a Senior Software Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer for their office located in midtown, and this is a hybrid on‑site role. Qualified candidates will have at least 5+ years overall experience, including hands‑on experience with the following technology stack: Python, FastAPI , Async Python, MongoDB / NoSQL DBs , AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes , Temporal, SpiceDB. Ideal candidates will also have experience with AI / LLM driven backend systems, optimization, scaling, and eliminating bottlenecks. BSCS or equivalent is required. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for approximately 70% backend coding and 30% infrastructure scaling. Candidates need startup experience, and the company prefers technology degrees from top‑tier schools. Applicants must be willing to work on‑site in NYC in a hybrid capacity 3+ days per week.
