Production Assembly TechnicianPay rate: $23.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Friday 5:00am -1:30pm plus OT opportunities Location: Essex 06426Summary:The Production Assembly Technician is responsible for producing engine packages by assembling parts and subassemblies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Read and understand blueprints or assembly instructions so you know exactly how to put things together the right way.Keep track of parts and inventory—labeling, organizing, and making sure everything is where it needs to be and in the right amount.Test finished products to make sure everything works properly and meets the required standards.Line up and fit parts accurately before assembly, checking clearances and measurements.Double-check that each part matches up with the blueprints using tools like calipers, gauges, or micrometers.Gather all the materials and tools needed for each specific build or job package.Install piping, wiring, fixtures, and other components to complete the assembly.Use tools to drill, cut, tap, or ream parts as needed for the build.Make repairs or adjustments if something isn't working or a part is damaged.Measure final products to make sure they meet specifications.Use hand and power tools—like drills, wrenches, mallets, and hammers—safely and effectively.Do basic maintenance on equipment to keep things running smoothly.Keep your work area clean and organized.Help identify any product defects and fill out the proper documentation.Record your work and quality checks on production forms.Be open to cross-training so you can help out across different builds and learn multiple product lines.Operate Forklifts to move materials as needed.Requirements:Drug and background screeningHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) requiredMust have at minimum one year of mechanical backgroundMust be able to lift 0-50 lbs. frequentlyMust have basic knowledge of computersMust be willing to be cross-trained to work in in other departmentsBenefits (employee contribution):Health insuranceHealth savings accountDental insuranceVision insuranceFlexible spending accountsLife insuranceRetirement planAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. #IND0126
