Certified Medical Assistant

Certified Medical Assistant- Spicewood, TX temp to perm ($19-21/hr) Mon-Wed and Fri 8am-5pm Position Overview: We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure the highest quality of patient care. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Duties: Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA and clinic protocols Take and record vital signs, patient history, and chief complaints Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care Manage specimen collection and prepare samples for lab analysis Apply and remove dressings and sutures Monitor and document patient progress and communicate concerns to the provider Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments and manage patient flow Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) Process prescriptions and prior authorizations Assist with billing, insurance verification, and patient documentation Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through AAMA, AMT, or equivalent accreditation preferred Proficient in EMR systems Mod Med, EMMA preferred CPR/BLS certification preferred Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy in a fast-paced clinical environment Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or sit for long periods Able to lift up to 25 pounds Fine motor skills for performing procedures and documentation Why Join Us?
