Part Time Family Office Senior Accountant

Vaco has a client near Bridgewater NJ looking for a part time Family Office Accountant to work onsite and be responsible for the accounting related to the owner’s personal finances, trusts and investments, as well as some real estate holdings. QuickBooks is required, as is experience working for a small family owned business or a family office. Trust and investment accounting experience is a plus. Hours can be split between 4 or 5 days a week onsite, for a total of 24 hours. Responsibilities include: invoice processing, cash receipt recording, bank reconciliations and monthly financial reportingfor trusts, foundations, and investments posting journal entries processing year end 1099s recording expenses, receipts, distributions, payroll funding and other transactions accurately and on time. trial balance generation and review provide financial reports act as the liaison in regards to tax returns Required: Bachelors’ degree in accounting QuickBooks experience required Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting in a family office or small business environment Experience with accounting for Trusts and Foundations or Reals Estate is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Target pay - $40-55hr Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
